Her indoors just treat herself to a new massive fridge freezer. It was delivered by Argos who no longer take the old one away. We spent 30 minutes struggling to get the American fridge freezer out onto the drive I had forgotten the foooking weight it was. I rang to arrange to get it collected and the cost was £40 I know it's a chunk etc but £40 fooking quid. Anyone else got rid of one recently and how much did you pay.

£20.80 to take away a fridge/freezer (max size 1m x 1m x 2m is ) in Northumberland, if that helps.
I suspect your American fridge/freezer was bigger than max size? Hence double the cost.

I was going to suggest that but better disconnect the compressor let the gas out and reconnect it loosely making out there had been a bad connection. I doubt the amount of gas being released will destroy the planet.

Maybe not. I had one for all of January and it didn’t go, eventually a neighbour had a word with the scrappies as they drove around and they don’t want fridge freezers anymore.
