Harvest - also home to early Pink Floyd, Edgar Broughton Band and Be-Bop Deluxe.

Carry on - not bored yet.

Seen all of those bands live. Never seen a band insult the audience as much as the Edgar Broughton Band. I saw them support Fleetwood Mac when Albatros was number 1 & Peter Green was the guitarist. I saw Pink Floyd several times before they made it big - several times at Waltham Forest college not that far from Orients ground. Be-Bob Deluxe were always under rated in my opinion "Maid in Heaven" what a classic single that is.

Wasn't the record label named after Barclay James Harvest - Galadriel and Mockingbird being their best? You must have some hocus pocus goin on there then elvis.

Also like Red Noise talkin of Be Bop - very underrated be bop and Bill Nelson although Peel was a huge fan.

Why? Does it automatically go that KC fans would like BJH? I must admit my knowledge of both bands is v.poor and I've only heard what he has played over the years. I thought KC were more "Prog" whilst BJH are more song-based, a bit like The Moody Blues?

I think it's fair to say that KC fans are more likely to like the Poor Man's Moody Blues than your average Clash fan is.
When I had the pub there was one (French) customer who was deeply into Deep Purple and Moon Martin (I didn't say he was consistent right?) who pestered the shite out of me to put BJH's "Hymn" on every time he came in.

I must admit I've gone off early Crimson myself but the later stuff has grown on me. As for BJH, the "Poor Man's Moody Blues" really was a befitting title. Pretty boring stuff if you ask me.
