We have been supposedly signing Miley from Newcastle since last week but still no announcement. Wondering why this is. Is he injured? Has he suddenly demanded more money? Did he not impress in training? Has he gone to another club instead of us? Does anyone know "sources close to the club" who know owt about this?

Its a cunning plan. We delay our announcement of new signings till Friday tea time. On this occasion it will give the mighty Braintree less time to adapt their tactics to our new star

Could be interesting. On the other hand maybe it is me getting a bee in my bonnet over nowt. Just seems odd that everyone is saying he is signing but the club have not confirmed it.

Announcement on the OS. Far too early in the day - we've got no chance at Braintree now. Welcome Jamie.

Looks that way. Good signing potentially. Been training with us for 2 weeks already so no doubt he'll be warming the bench.

3 signings, 2 of them permanent. Pity they couldn't all have been got over the line a fortnight ago.

If Grey and Mancini hadn't been out injured would we have signed anybody? Or was the club just waiting to get LuaLua and Bondswell off the books?

Interesting Mr.Hogans because Mr.Burns said around the 10th that we are not looking to sign anybody. You may be on the money yet again.

I can think of a whole bunch of reasons, starting with their empty wind tunnel of a ground and lack of fans. Newcastle U-21s probably get more along.

Another defensive midfielder. Would have preferred an attacking one

Maybe we pay better than Gateshead? Maybe Gateshead don't rate him or simply don't want or feel they need him?
Just hope he can do the business for us, maybe more mobility in the DM position will allow for others in front of him to be a bit more of abn attacking threat?
