Just noticed he's signed for Carlisle on a short term contract, and was on their bench Saturday.
I honestly thought he'd go on to bigger and better things.

Sometimes players fail to progress despite enormous talent. It's a shame for Tyler but maybe it's the non football stuff in a young players life that stops the progression. I knew a very talented 14 yrs old who knocked in 147s for fun in practice but stopped playing aged 16 yrs when he found girls / drink and drugs. Sad as it is its almost normal these days to lose
some talent to the above. I remember Sir Alex Ferguson making Ryan Giggs live with him until he was 16 / 17 and then banning him from doing post match interviews until he was 21 If memory serves.

He played 50-odd times for Millwall in the Championship, so it's not as if he didn't have a decent shot at a successful career.

Something clicked for him at Pools that he hasn't beem able reproduce anywhere else. In 85 career games so far he's scored 6 goals - half of them in just 7 appearces for us!

i,d have him back today even if he has picked up some unwanted baggage along the way. some players need a bit of a reality check when they are young and his career could be put on track.

Burey went over to play for OB in Denmark which was very random - then managed to get himself a good move back to Oxford which i thought at the time was a good move for the kid and would see him crack on. Carlisle is no step backwards by any means and hes still playing very good level of football but i thought he would be a staple in the championship for a long time. Who knows we might just see him back here.
type of player we need - get him on a free and really have him as one of our own - then sell him for big cash. A business model Pools i think need to adopt should we not get the investor we all hope for.

Only played 5 games at Oxford last season and given a free. No one picked him up makes one wonder.

could be multitude of reasons including holding out for more money and pricing himself out then realising its too late to find a club and a long contract. then he could be crap and not the player we knew nut surely not down to the standard of a couple of has been strikers we had and another still with us out injured.

Basically he was hounded out of Millwall after they lost there last match of the season denying them a play off place. He reacted to the supporters after the game and there was no way back for him after that. Really thought he would go on to be a good standard championship player but there is still time I guess

Do we reignite his career?
I'd have him back especially with Lua Lua been very poor.
Looks like he's going the journey.

I would have him back tomorrow not a problem. He will be a free signing and happy to sign a short term deal on micky mouse wages for now. The lad is very talented and just needs a cuddle from Auld Burnsey to ignite his engine and get him going. My only worry is when we get him in and sort him out he finds a much better club when his short deal ends. Hopefully he signs and makes an early impact allowing Raj to make him a longer term contract afterall he could be worth a fortune in a year or so.

i,d agree if he was the same player he was with us and after he went back to millwall. seems he is not and could be a muliple reasons why his career looks to have gone down the pan. however others have turned their careers around over the years at the right club and those running it on the pitch suits them.
