UPDATE

AVG ran several times (but looks like it doesn't include antispyware)

Small yellow triangle in bottom right of screen near clock that pops up "WINDOWS ANTIVIRUS. Windows has detected spyware infection bla bla bla.

This re-pops up as soon as it is closed which is totally pi55ing me off

Also every now and again another message pops up of similar nature and ants to redirect me to another site

When signing on to broadband, as well as the normal home screen, another tab opens as if its trying to conect itself to another website (which I quickly close)

Finally, on my start menu, i have no control panel to try and restore the system, and on the main desktop, cannot access properties as it says "Operation cancelled due to restrictions on my computer. Contact administrator". This has never happened before

Thanks for the free antispyware that i'm now downloading, is there anything else I can do or should do

If this can't sort it out nothing can, get the free download to the right of the screen, be warned it takes about 90 mins to sort everything out.

All you do is start it off and it does the rest for you.

System restore usually can be found under programmes/accesories/system tools/System Restore.

Put it this way, the "Tab end saga" would be thrown out, which I suppose was what caused the problem in the first case!!!
