Are there bargains to be had or is it just a big con, my take is goods like any sale are over priced prior to a sale then reduced leaving you to think you have got a bargain. In the Next sale they bring loads of stuff in but you won’t find any of clothing on the normal
every day racks reduced. I believe like most events it originated in the States.

It depends on the person buying the stuff on offer. If they think it's a bargain then it's bargain.
I'm usually very cynical but I have taken promotional offers on board from time to time.
Never gone out "bargain" hunting on so called black friday though.
An example of what I look for. I'm partial to a wee dram so when brands that I like are on offer at less than the going rate then I get interested.

I don't go rushing into the black Friday thing, but I like a drop of whisky and always get a few bottles of something decent online. I know the normal prices and there's always one of the whisky sites doing decent deals, so I get a a bottle or three to stick away for Christmas.
