It’s no worse than SARS or the Middle Eastern Coronavirus. I work at the Addenbrookes hospital and they have a pod for screening and Public Health England branch are based there. I was actually in virology today where they work with Zika and Ebola a lot worse viruses. Basically the best thing to do is wash your hands and ride it out till the summer. Unless you have respiratory problems or are old and susceptible to infections you will be fine.

Was trying to put a pic on of the screening pod I took today but file is too big. The policemen outside it has the easiest job going sat in their van all day.

The researchers in virology don’t seem bothered one said to me it’s nice a virus is in the news as it means we will get more funding.

Just to add most hand sanitiser are anti bacterial ones so do nothing to Coronavirus best thing is soap and water to wash it away. Worst thing to actually carry infections is your mobile phone which in microbiology terms are minging and your toilet lid is probably cleaner but we all don’t get sick everyday

Mr Compo. What’s their view on the theory that this was actually a leak from the Wuhan biological warfare plant? Wuhan being the Chinese version of Porton Down. It does seem to be highly coincidental. I’m pretty sure that if this virus has started in the Village of Porton Down then the papers would be all over it with accusations.

I think you saying that shows a distinct lack of knowledge of how virus and particularly Coronavirus work. These generally start in a species all of the outbreaks so far have been from bats they then need a transitional species before going into humans, middleastern was camels this was an anteater type thing called a Pangolin. With regard to the Wuhan thing yes it does seem dodgy where location is but SARS and bird flu didn’t originate there so it’s really irrelevant and also if was a leak it’s not the worst that can happen.

Let’s be honest all this talk of a rushed vaccine etc is bollocks you cannot rush through a vaccine without testing. More people will die and be infected yes but the mass panic is just stupid. Was your hands that’s it really and the numbers in UK are tiny so talk of closing schools is just stupid

Its destroyed the brand name of Corona beer.
But the upside is that Tesco is selling a box of it for £9 down from £13..........fillya boots lads.
You can then use the the saving to buy a face mask and some sanitising gel.

All this handwashing will inevitably lead to a water shortage, a soap shortage and a boom in hand cream sales.
My neighbour has already trebled his intake of Corona beers. He maintains it's the only protection until a proper vaccine is found.
I hope you're all using good old carbolic soap.

I seem to remember is was:

1. Headland to town.

3. Rift house to town then up hart lane
4. Owton manor to throston grange
5. ???
6. Fens to clavering
7. ???
8. ???
9. Port Clarence to town
10. ???
11. Town to Middlesbrough
12. Seat on to town
13. Headland I think. No idea where to buy something to do with banjos

It was what used to be the United/Tees 227 I think.

Which used to go from town, up Oxy Road, along Catty Road, down Manor Lane, 689, Greatham, Billingham, Stockton, Boro.

I think 2 was Church St to the Park, 4 was Rift House to Thornhill Gardens. 7 went from Church St to Wynyard Rd and came back down Owton Manor Lane to Church St as 8. Roles then reversed as 8 went from Church St up to Owton Manor Lane and came back down Wynyard Rd to Church St as 7.

Thornaby (at least from a mate I heard).

What's happening with football anyway? I keep hearing different things every hour. People were saying about plus 500 crowds but certainly that rules out most the National League and National League North? Ridiculous if football is cancelled considering all forms of work and school are still going ahead.

I'd be fine with behind closed doors but you know if we got to the playoffs they'd void the season on the final day, probably after we score a last minute winner too.

Not just the clubs who will lose out financially but the local pubs n shops which rely on football fans to trade especially wen there's 40000+ at some of these games.
