People complaining they are buying players to stop other teams
Getting them now…just signed 2 left backs in a week who were highly rated, seems them and Carlisle have top 2 locked down and best hope
For the rest is a run of form aroun playoffs like oldham had

Unfortunately this league is very strong at the
Minute between league teams getting their acts together and ambitious smaller teams with cash

Even getting new owners and decent investment it would be a real slog getting out of this league , Carlisle, York, FGR, Rochdale Southend, Scunthorpe, Yeovil (new owners) all on deck to give it a real go over the next few years…depressing stuff

Hoping we get to 3 up and 3 down in next few years or this leave is almost over before it starts for most teams

Why always a downer York, FGR, Rochdale and Southend all blew out badly in the play offs and like when we won promotion Oldham's momentum got them up. Obviously signings and the possible take over could put a different spin on things.

the only way i can see of getting an extra promotion place is if for a couple of seasons the relegated clubs go straight back up again where the only movement is at the bottom and the league would stagnate. problem always is there is usually a morecambe that come down to stop that happening. more or less pools could be in a third division north situation with 30 odd years of just fullfilling a fixture list and league lower down.

you should know by now that all new signings these clubs make are wordbeaters playing well below there standard by signing for them. pools are always the complete opposite.

Time will tell if York’s ‘cunning plan’ works… yawn1

I've been impressed by Yorks signings, other than the last one who I don't know anything about.
Thing is they can only field eleven players, their manager has a lot of players to keep happy. They had a wobble in January when they signed Josh Stones, apparently strengthening the squad.
Saying that I'd quite happily accept us having that problem :D

While it is true, York, FGR and Rochdale 'blew out badly' in the play offs, Southend got to the final which isnt blowing out badly. They came very close to the promised land of the FL.

Looking on the Carlisle forum, there's a fair few of their supporters think the same.

Carlisle had 20 players on their retained list plus took option out on 2 others out of a squad that wasn't collectively good enough to avoid relegation. So that's 22 on EFL wages along with Mark Hughes and his support team. Add into the mix their new signings. They may struggle and I can see some unhappy campers if things don't start well, both on and off the pitch. Mind they are in a better position than us!

a better problem than the side that picks itself that gets picked with players just going through the motions knowing they are more or less undroppable.
