Give us some player ratings Chip, Sky Sports news is crap at match reports.

Budtz - 6/7 difficult to make my mind up, some very good saves but also some awful spilling of the ball
Coles- 6/7 again difficult, he was strong in the air and seemed decent defensively, however a very rash challenge got himself booked
Clark - 7/8 threw himself at everything, much more composed on the ball than Antwi, played well in difficult conditions
Nelson - 7 similar to Clark, defended well in difficult conditions
Humphreys - 8 my MoM, goal line clearence, won many headers and crucial challenges, very strong
Brown - 7 good running and skill, takes 3 men to tackle him, well taken goal
Moore- 5 alot of running but not much else, barely won a 50/50 in the air or on the floor
Boland+Liddle - 7 did well in difficult conditions, good distribution but were both caught out from time to time
Barker- 6 worked hard and battled but did much else
Porter - 7 Our most creative player, unlucky not to set Brown up with a lovely through ball, also had a goal ruled out which he legitamitely battled for

I fail to see how he was "unlucky". The keeper had it in both hands and Joel kicked it out.

so you didnt see the foul on porter 5 seconds earlier then...well you wouldnt have would you?

I commented on Porter kicking the ball out of his hands which is not allowed. No where did i comment on the previous foul.

But please feel free to try and start arguments and see negatives where ever you see fit.

Joel had every right to go for the ball and as far as i could see the keeper was just layed on it until joel kicked it.

Oi chip your not allowed to say the keeper had a good game even though he won us the game.

[quote="chip fireball"]

coles 5 made mickey barrons disrtibution look good and was out on his feet at the end. defends well, but i prefer mcunnie.

5??????? why so high????? he was dire

ref 4 got most things very wrong.

agreed
bristol rovers fans 7 a decent number there for a friday night game and made a fair bit of noise.

Fail to see why our stewards had to go in unless as i suspect something more sinister happened......me and my young boy overheard the stewards radio outside rainbow cafe.....some were sent on to pitch to look for object???? hit our keeper i believe but cant confirm...looked from familly enclosure that they were just stood up singing?????

that said a battling win with lots of players making heroic blocks late on, and a welcome clean sheet.

Agreed ...very lucky to come away with 3 points

i really dont understand why so many people have a pop at him. he has looked decent every time ive seen him play.

clappp Totally agree with that, I think he has looked good every time I've seen him. Stood next to some bloke at the Walsall game making noises like the Arsenal screamer every time a bll went into our box and exclaiming to his mates (after Jan had caught the ball cleanly AGAIN) "he puts the shits up me that Budtz" sctatchinghead sctatchinghead

Then there were people still blaming him for the Danny Graham header which was unstoppable sctatchinghead banghead Bizarre!

What about the penalty appeals we had.

I thought when the keeper took out Porter was a definate one right in front of the soft twat of a linesman who was afraid to make a decision all night, but I think with the Foley incident his first touch was a bit too much and he was always stretching, I think there was another but can't quite remember it.
