For anyone interested, here's what I thought...

Dreadful conditions not condusive to slick football, I thought the pitch held up well considering the rainwater on it at the start and the heavy rain throughout the first half.

First half Pools fell behind early to a poor Liddle tackle. I would have been disappointed if were denied a penalty under the same circumstances.

Pools played their passing game and had more skill than Lincoln although both sides found the long ball shooting through, and short passes holding up in the surface water.
For 15 minutes just after our second goal, we stopped passing and played long balls which proved fruitless - seemed like a tactical message to try and catch their defence with something different.

Barrett - not a lot to do, but held on well to a slippery ball. Great save late in second half.
Liddle - looked lost at fullback early on but grew into it. Occasionally was too far forward so Anti had to come across and cover
Antwi - solid enough, snuffed out many threats
Clark - played with a grin even in the worst rain. Wholehearted as usual and fitted in with Antwi as if together all season
Elliott - nothing special
Moore - showed DW he has options to switch him and Brown if necessary. Fantastic run from deep to get on the end of Porter's left wing cross for his goal
McCunnie - always available and may be his best position but he made more mistakes than anyone given the tricky under-foot conditions.
Sweeney - good game to show he's over his injury. Covered every inch as usual but not quite as cultured on the ball as Liddle.
Robson - Performed okay. It was not the best opportunity to fight for a place - tracked back to help Elliot and played some good crosses as well as some poor ones.
Brown - Tricky enough up front and good to see him there, but didn't want some of the battering which Barker would have taken.
Porter - Held the ball up, slipped his marker on both sides, played some great short passes in to Brown, Sweeney in particular. Made the two goals he didn't score. Was very unselfish with the pinpoint clipped cross with his right foot for Mackay's headed goal - anyone else would have had a hat trick shot. Can't fault him at all.
Mackay - like what I see more and more - gets better every time he plays.
Gibb - looking more like a full back now, steadily winning the sceptics over I think.

Agree totally, apart from that last line.

I never want to see Ali Gibb at right back again, it's bad enough when he's on the wing!
