A few positives from last night's game if I may?

When we were in possession we played some very good football. OK, it lacks a cutting edge once it gets near the box, but that can be worked on. I'd play Moore and Porter on Saturday, although Barker took his goal really well and won 2 other just off-target headers in the box.

Willie Boland and Micky Nelson continue to be a cut above. Boland's early booking didn't really seem to curtail his natural aggression, and Nelson was immense.

Wilson's substitutions worked a treat. 100% right DW.

Disagree on Boland. I thought some of his passing was sub standard last night.

At times he was excellent, at times he really let himself down.

I found it very frustrating that Liddle is turning into a sideways player like Boland. It's important to have one 'sideways' player in the team but two......?

I think Boland is still suffering a bit from injury, Thought he did ok last night, He was well up for the game though, That was for sure! His Yellow Card was one of the strangest Yellow Cards' I have seen

Im a bit concerned about that too. Liddle come here and looked like a class act. He still does, dont get me wrong, but it would be a travesty if he becomes a 'sideways' player. He has too much to offer going forward to simply coach this out of him.

Mr Elves-Clique is correct on the positives mind you.

I cant believe that DW wont take Barker off when he makes his subs. Barker always looks like he is blowing out of his backside. Maybe DW is afraid that should he allow Moore and Porter the chance to play up front together and they were to do so successfully, he would have to drop Barker (ie one of his favourites) in future games sctatchinghead

Like I keep saying, Porter can play the 'target man' role pretty well and at least he has some pace. Barker is not even winning many headers these days so this alone cannot justify his selection.

but surely, if he got his starting line-up correct, the substitutions, wouldn't be so necessary.

i.e Clark for Antwi, surely he can see it
Porter for Barker/Moore, take your pick, but Joel's deserves a run of starts
and last night Robson, on the left, leaving Foley to play his part coming on late, when he's most effective

I was well impressed with Wille Boland when we equalised he went off it! He ran an dived on Matty Robson on the other side of the pitch to all the other player congratulating Mackay! He got better as the game went on after his second early booking in two games.

How ridiculous was his booking by the way!? Booked for taking a free kick too quickly sctatchinghead Its alright to hack our players down time and again but if you take that before my whistle refyellow banghead I wouldn't care but the free kick was woeful he should have just given the goal kick, it was a decision that left both teams baffled.

I think all of those points are spot on Elvis. I tell you what Willie Boland must have set himself a great standard because if that was him playing poorly (based on quite a few comments) he must be fantastic most of the time. Yes he misplaced a few passes who doesn't, there was a little spell in the first half he hit three first time passes (FORWARD) to three different players who promptly just passed it straight back to him rather than taking initiative themselves. Great awareness, vision and commitment!

Ritchie Humphreys gave the ball away FIVE times apparently according to some goon on rivals, yes FIVE times in 90 minutes and he was counting.

For this he should never grace Victoria Park again

hopefully just a one-off. still prefer him to elliott.

He was poor last no doubt about it, but what I disagree with is the total over reaction on a game by game basis, people are human they have good days/games and bad days/games.
