it shouldn't be possible, but since swapping both my socks over to the respective opposite foot, they have stopped sliding down into my boot. Pissed off I had to take my boots off to swap the socks around (not much choice really).
This I believe has superstitious connotations, and Pools will be victorious in tonight's game.

It also could have worked if you had swapped your boots over as well
