1) Last time I went was the worst performance under Cooper I've ever seen (3-0 defeat).
2) Micky Nelson's winner on the opening day of the 2003-4 season
3) Our lasses mates dad is a director, so before the game on the opening day of the 2003-4 season we had a guided tour of the boardroom etc. It was very poor. Lots of pelmets needed straightening, walls needed repainting, skirting needed replacing etc.
4) All the police wading in to the crowd ham fisted during the last game of the 1997/98 season.
5) Getting pelted with clemmies coming out of the ground after the last game of the 1997/8 season.

The BP's were all over in Spain for that match. We had arrived earlier in the week and lost away at Brentford, only to bump into a Bees supporting barman the following day! So we set ourselves down in a different bar to 'watch' the match on the saturday afternoon on Sky. Slowly getting more and more depressed as the goals went in. We still carried on wearing our colours for the rest of the holiday though.

In our present situation we don't want reminding of things like that!
Next you'll be telling us we once went 13 games without scoring!!

1. barry fry. perfect proof that you don't need talent to underachieve.

2. stopped there a 100 times on the way back to the pool

3. victoria beckham trying to sue them for use of the name posh.

4. nelsons winner a year or two back.first match of the season 3-1 down (I think)and thinking well the bubbles burst, then we come back and win.

5. first official visit to monkey hanging land for my missus.took her to see pools v peterbro, stevie howard scores both in a 2-1 comeback in front of next to nobody.she gets to see me going mental at the sight!followed by an overnight in seaton and a walk on seaton beach in the morning with the usual autumn hurricane blowing, holding hands in the warm glow of the nuclear power station. aaahhh.
and we're still together!!

1. The Cherry Tree - 1500 customers, 2 barmaids both over 70.
2. Keith Alexander - Long ball anybody??
3. Katharine of Aragon is buried there. I've had her, obviously.
4. There is a Peterborough in Ontario.
5. Four goals by four debutantes and the realisation that we are good enough for this division.

Beckham's split-arse really did that? Their ignorance, arrogance and stupidity knows no bounds if that is the case. I hope her fanny seals up. :-X

That Cherry Tree pub was run by a Chelsea supporter last time I was there. I will guarantee that it won't be as hot this time as it was when we won 4-3 down there

Wasn't it at Peterbrough that Sharpy got kicked out dressed as a Court Jester, on of the funniest things I have ever seen at a game, getting dragged along with his big-curly shoes on.
I think the bobbies broke his wrist too

I smile everytime I imagine the van pulling into the yard at the station and the coppers saying 'Give 'us a hard sarg, we've a right clown in the back !!'

Still makes me chuckle even now

Was it Peterbrough ??????

1990 or 1991, just moved down to London and got the train up with a new mate of mine who was a Dundee Utd supporter who went to a canny few matches with me, him and a Scunny supporter.
Got to the ground to find the match had been cancelled. Cant remember why, the weather was fine. Walked back to the train station via a pub and saw lots of pools fans standing on tables jumping up and down. Didnt know who it was, just looked through the window and saw their legs and feet going up and down and heard Pools songs. Went to the offy, got a stack of beer and got the train back to London to drink it.
