Firstly, well done Danny. Brave decision on a hot London day to pick Boland no training in 3 weeks & Nelson who has not rained all week. Both were excellent especially Boland who was the true 'general' bossing the midfield with simple, but effective passes.

Tremendous first half performance. Goals 3 and 4 were good efforts. Fantastic support from the 'faithful', but MoM has to be Danny Wilson - ball to feet - clear instructions to pass & move and keep ball and give it simple, & for keeping faith with now 2 goal Moore, that is 4 for the season, when everyone wanted him out for Joel. Sometimes loyalty has its place & today it turned up trumps.

As for Mr Boyd 3 nice touches represents good work every 30 minutes. Honestly, I'd keep the more mobile Moore in front of the former fans favourite.

Ratings

Budtz 6 Could he have tipped over the tremendous shot for the 1st goal
McCunnie 6 rock solid
Richie 7 kept the ball well
Nelse 7 one mistake had Grey in his back pocket
Antwi 7 Athletic & strong challengers that is why he is in front of Ben
Browny 5 good runs little end product, goal was a keeping blunder
Boland 8 Arise the 'General' with the kep ball master plan
Liddle 8 Energy, good passing joint best performer with 'General Boland'
Bob 5 Apart from excellent strike for goal very limited
Barker 6 Tried hard , but is a yard short at this level, but held it up well
Moore 6 Good darting runs first half, should have done better with first strike for first goal, but thereafter did well & second goal saw him do what all good players do - he passed it in the net.

Sub

Clark 6
McKay 7 clearly his movement is a little unsure but simple lay off in build up to the 4th goal and got into a good position to be saved at point blank range. I think he has real potential

Finally, my Chelski supporting son has not stopped singing songs this evening his 2 favourites Danny's blue N whie army & Dodgy Keeper - we may have got our selves another fan!

No thoughts on Porter?

Just landed.

Thought Nelson was immense, McCunnie looked solid as well, and Porter looked lively when he came on. Their first was a bit soft from a keeping point of view, but hey, we scored four so what the hell. Orient looked decidedly League 2 I thought - God knows how they're top.

Oh, and I never realised kids could really scream and scream and scream until they were sick. But the kid behind me on the flight back managed it.

I'll do a match report later but in short it was very good.

Budtz 6 Should have saved their first.
McCunnie 9 Flawless.
Richie 7 We look more solid
Nelse 8 Solid.
Antwi 7 Athletic & strong challengers that is why he is in front of Ben
Browny 7 Worked hard, made runs but a little too clingy at times.
Boland 9 Boland's experience is something we've missed in recent games, he breaks down opposition so well. Plus the great triangles.
Liddle 8 Great triangles. Looks the business.
Monkhouse 7 I wouldn't say he was limited just not as involved but still when he still caused them a fair few problems. Great strike for his goal.
Barker 7 Worked his socks off, I hope he gets his first goal from open play- he deserves it. Put his body on the line again.
Moore 8 He worked very hard and his movement was better. His run for the first goal was brilliant. A much better peformance. Good second goal.
Sub

Clark 6 Didn't have long but did his job.
Mackay 7 Didn't have long but looked...quick.
Porter 7 It's a shame the match didn't go on for longer as he was just starting to get into his stride before the final whistle. Made a great run to set a good chance (from Mackay?) that was saved a point blank range...
