...my lad Joe and 6 other air cadets, this morning set off on their DOE Silver Award 3 day hike up in Northumberland starting at Rothbury. Fully kitted up, his back pack weighing 21lbs (20 of that was his bait) as soon as he crossed the threshold at Smythe Mansions it started raining and it hasn't let up all morning.
