People always focus on our performance but I thought they looked a really decent team yesterday. Typical Paul Sturrock, well drilled and hard working with a few good players thrown in. The two full backs we excellent especially the dread locked right back.

That was IMO a very good point, as Swindon over the course of the season will prove a hard team to beat and maybe the opposition sometimes deserve a bit of the credit for a below par performance by the home team.

Edit;By the way what the fook was winger Zaboub doing wearing gloves? By Hartlepools standards yesterday was tropical. Fooking French ponce.

Gloves in September, what a joke, what’s he going to be wearing come January?

Personally I wouldn’t have let him on to the pitch if I were his manager, I can only imagine what Cloughie or Cyril Knowles reaction would have been. And the plank missed an absolute sitter too.

Not sure this was about the brilliance of Sturrock. It might have been a different story if Danny W had not been so obstinate and persisted in picking Ian Moore above Joel Porter. It's been clear for a few games who is the better player. Danny is a very good manager, but he has an obstinate streak - evidenced by Ian Moore, Ali Gibb - which can cost us. Quite a few players were off the pace yesterday - dreaming about Leeds? But the great plus was Jan Budtz. This guy is improving game on game - he was chipped again, but did make some great saves, and came off the line well unlike in the first few games, and his kicking is better than Dimi. Well done for spotting him, Danny, but I still think the 8 foot Slovakian who is now Swindon reserve would have been worth a punt! Thank you Mr Sturrock for not playing him.

Last week in Swindons game Vs Yeovil the Sky Commentators said it is because he is superstitous and that the gloves bring him good luck!

Sofiene Zaaboub's Gloves doesn't have the same ring to it, somehow.
