i know its paraphrasing but to me he's saying "fuck me lads this is MIGHTY LEEDS UNITED we're playing, we cant beat these fuckers so just let em roll us and we'll worry about winning again next week"
well maybe not in so many words?

"In the nicest possible sense, what happens to Leeds is of no consequence to me. I'm not being disrespectful but every club and every manager has problems to contend with – injuries, suspension or less money to spend than they would like.

"You look after yourself and leave others to do the same. I've got enough to think about at Hartlepool."

I'd actualy paraphase DW as saying. Why the hell are you phoning me up asking about Leeds when I am a busy man with my own job to do?

The day dawns.........the clamour from Leeds had ceased as the white faithful finally succumb to sleep like cherubic children on Christmas Eve. The Hartlepool juggernaut rolled quietly into town with the minimum of fuss............as it will roll out again at quarter to five with three points in the bag with the world of football saying 'Leeds lost to WHO???? AT HOME?????....'

Ahh.....how times change eh? Little Ole Artlepool mugging Leeds at Elland Road, I never thought I'd see the day...

they'll have to rely on more than just big crowds and will-to-win over a full season. They showed little quality other than the two players up front. Sooner or later they'll hit a bad spell, playing like that will not keep getting them wins. I think Dennis Wise had a similar start at Swindon last season, which showed signs of petering out until he left and Sturrock took over.
He's either very lucky, or he has mastered the art of winning games when severley under the cosh.
