Why so much hate? It's not Scotty's fault the majority of Poolies wanted someone incompetent to replace Cooper.

it was hating the undoing of five years good work............someone has to be the focal point........and in his case deservedly so, the clinging-on little rat bag weasel-faced c**t

Parmo, you got it spot on when you refer to the 'clinging-on'. Some people have no pride, it was obvious he should have gone long before the circumstances surrounding his eventual departure.

I remember when Robson was in charge of Borer when they were in danger of relegation, and they brought Venables in who turned them around. Robson just couldn't walk away, he got made director of football or something, it was extremely embarrassing.

Martin Scott is one of those bad pennies that I think will keep cropping up despite his failures. I would be amazed if we don't face a side that he is involved with as manager/assistant/coach in the next couple of years.

I would have sacked him after the Sunderland cup game when he was in the Mail with his kids, one in blue & white, the other in red & white, either he wasnt 100% commited to us,or hes thick, either way not good enough.
During his season as manager the game thar proved he had to go was Yeovil at home, they were bottom with 0 points & he started making excuses before the kick off, needless to say we lost & he made Boyd carry an injury for 20 minutes costing us our best goalscorer for half a season.
Horrible man, made it impossible to go to a game & feel 100% up for it.

Definitely a low point for me as well that was. That was when I knew weren't going to stay in the same vein we had been for five years. When Nelse went over to him and asked what the fook they were supposed to be doing and Scotty waved all his sheaf of papers at him, you could see that there was something deeply wrong that wasn't going to come right. The wave of disbelief that went round the crowd when he wouldn't take Boyd off was sharp turning to sheer anger.

Much better to draw a discreet veil across that horrible season.

So you admit he was a great manager on paper.

I admit I expected a seamless transformation but the way he accepted defeat at Cardiff planted a seed of doubt I have to say. Followed closely by that arrogant declaration of Championship football the next year. Thereafter followed by ready acceptance of defeat every week.

I was used to Coopers blunt 'no guid enough, we're in for training Sunday.....'
