He's been in the news criticising the policies on Iraq.

I'm sure his upcoming book is irrelevant to this statement and I'm sure he's right but its a shame he wasn't so vociferous when he was a serving officer. At that time he was more than happy to tow the party line. The bloke is contempuous.
