Porter at fault?

Nelson deceided to try to take a player on on the half way line, lost the ball and then made a hash of teh ensueing cross.

Why on earth a centre back is trying to beat players in the last few minutes is beyond me.

Maybe to keep the ball as far as he can from his own goal thinking 'we're all knackered, we're away from home and lets go to penalties??'

The way my brother described it was he did all the right things with the clearance but before he could react the ball was behind him and it was all over.
