Just got this from a mate as best way to avoid the supposedly bad roadworks that are predicted to cause havoc tonight;

Leave M1 at J36, but at McDonalds roundabout take right turn onto A616 (INSTEAD of straight on).
Keep going west on A616 for about 3 miles past junction with A61- look out for exit onto A6102.
Take left onto A6102.
Follow A6102 southbound through Deepcar, Oughtbridge, Middlewood.
A6102 is Middlewood Road and brings you out at Leppings Lane end of ground.
