laptop/standby

my laptop keeps going into standby occasionally its a Toshiba ive tried adjusting the power settings on the control panel and the Toshiba power settings but it keeps reverting back to its old self confised

My laptop's a Toshiba and it's the first and last one I'll ever buy from that maker.

Is this when its on mains or standby? Linux, XP or vista?

mains and im running xp :evil:

its strange it only started happening when i done something what you told someone else to do on there pc, i think it was stopping background programs running confised
