They're too busy diddling to notice what their own badge says or care about it either.

What was the general feeling of poolies at the time? Did most pools fans want boro to be saved or did most want them to rot?

Well if they had gone under we may then have got some coverage on BBC Tees (why didn't they just call it BBC Boro and have done with it?). I think it is supposed to serve the whole community not just part of it.

We could well be in a situation this season where we have two promotion chasing teams (Pools and Darlo) who get no coverage at the expense of a team who will be fighting a relegation battle. rage

The biggest thing that winds me up is people from Hartlepool 'supporting' other teams (plastic Boro fans get my goat the most). I heard one Judas on the Century phone in wanting to talk about Boro last night and he came from Hartlepool. Haven't these people any local pride? The football at Pools is much better than that boring shite they play at Boro anyway banghead

are the not broadcasting on digital radio ? for pools and loids
you have to give the smoggies some credit masquerading all this times as a prem team when they have always only ever been second division

I think there's something happened at Old Trafford similarly years ago. Man Utd played, then Stockport played straight afterwards. Everybody who was at the Man Utd game and wanted to watch the next match stayed in the ground. Only an extra 11 paid at the gate for the second match, and so the official attendance was 11!!!!
Stockport v Leicester I think.
Pools is certainly the only game in the modern era where it's happened.
