Stevo's Commando's

story in the mail this afternoon
[remember when it was the night mail gets delivered before 11 on a Saturday]
Stevo has had the lads on a commando style training week [well for four days]
they have been living as commandos in LYMPSTONE in DEVON
rising early and doing all the stuff commando's do
the lads thought it was brilliant especially the team work

shades of Alan Goad with Tony Toms commando knife in the mail circa 72 ish

that'll be Lympstone PP. just up the road from me,though I reckon Mr I would know more about the place than me.

Do they train the catering corps there like?

The official title is CTCRM (Commando Training Centre Royal Marines) is just outside Exeter. All Royal Marine recruits train there along with any others who are completing the All Arms Commando Course. To be attached to 3 Commando Brigade and wear the CGB - (green beret) you must complete this course.

If they've been through a mini Commando course then they'll know about it.

Funny enough yes, some cooks do compete the commando course.
