Anyone got the name of a good reliable garage in the area to have a look at my brakes, that won't charge me the earth for the privilege?

Kwik Fit do a free brake check but are not always the cheapest to do the work unless they have an offer on.

What type of car do you have?

I get mine done at a place in Boro but it specialises in Audi so don't know if it would be best for you or not.

There's a place in Stockton that's really good, but they specialise in Volvo. Depends what car you have.

Try Tyrezone in Burn Road. He is quite cheap and can usually do it at quite short notice.
