MATCH CONFIRMED 3PM ON SATURDAY 8TH SEPTEMBER 2007

Never thought I'd see the day, A Hartlepool League match CATEGORY A - I don't think even the first time we played Forest that it was CATEGORY A.

Yeah, looks like £25 a ticket - might be 1 ticket per person at the ticket office.

So does that make it more expensive for away fans?

If so, by how much?

Only about £5 more for adults than the highest price in one of the Leeds stands

No! Unless you're a home fan in the family enclosure.
It's a price hike all round for home and away fans alike. The Leeds supporters will be itching to get a glimpse of a quality team like Pools so they won't mind.

if it was £55, I wouldn't miss the Leeds game. If anyone says it is just another game, then they haven't been going to football very long.
Whether we like to say it or not, Leeds' history marks them out as one of the greatest football clubs in this country. Uefa Cup victories/finals, FA cup victories/finals, League Cup victories/finals, Champions of England and runners-up numerous times, European Cup final/semi-finals (when it WAS the European Cup, not this easy Champions League shite which guarantees ten games in it no matter what - back then, you either won or you were out).
This is not like playing Sheff Wed, who were merely in the top flight as also-rans, Leeds have beaten the best in the business throughout their history.
This is a bigger game than Forest (not just for geographical reasons either) because Leeds had been more successful over a much longer period than Forest.

Has anyone been on the call centre site to see if LP is creaming himself over this game or what?

Like it or lump it and gripe about prices if you will but this is possibly one of greatest compliments in the history of Hartlepool United.

Ladies, Dibbles and gentlemen, we are Category A.

Gerrin!!!

Parmapooly brought a tear to my eye there! A trip to blades is in no way comparable to a trip to ER. The extra couple of quid is surely not enough to cut yer nose off to spite yer face. Get yerselves down to ER - you'll really regret it next day if pool win and you gave it a miss. Despite being in Div 1 we still have a reputation europe wide and have still played more games in europe than all but scousers/mancs and gooners. This is still the same ground, the same fans and the same history. Potentially a great day out. Looking forward to seeing you all. We may even be looking at zero points so the atmoshere will be electric. A number of Southend posters said the noise at ER last week was the loudest they had ever experienced - you could make it even better. mot

Well it's the closest game we have to a derby match so I will be there, I can see at least 3,000 Poolies there and even a 30k crowd if Leeds continue doing well.

What do you expect, there's a Category A game on that day!

By the way, the Uni is over Headingley way isn't it? A taxi ride from the city centre pubs and clubs.

Sorry to be a party pooper, but I always thought that Leeds was a bit of a shit night out to be honest.

Everywhere is spread too far apart.

When I lived down that way I'd rather go out on the lash somewhere like Halifax or Huddersfield, where all the pubs, clubs etc are all right on top of each other.

But a hammer is much more effective than a knife.

Less splatters you see.

Not so much evidence.
