What the HELL is all that about? I really do not understand what he contributed. He created little and gave the ball away for their goal. Wierd!

Even the Sunday Sun would not rate players so madly!

(oh actually maybe they would)

I think the Sunday Sun are pretty much spot on grave, Liddle and Antwi are at the top of the player ratings for the North-East teams so far this season.

Pools normally have a player in the top 3 every season.Nelson has won it twice.

Maybe they have improved in recent years then. The ratings used to be a complete farce. Antwi will have a great chance of winning IMO although I dont wnat to jinx the lad like

Made me laugh to see that prick Gannon give Robson a 7. AS clueless on football as his writing abilities.

If I was Matty Robson I'd have T-Shirt made with the team of the week on the front and 'fook the lorroyuz' on the back.

Well why do you think??

I'm not quite blue in the face through explaining but I'm getting a slight tinge around the gills.

With a lot to be happy about, the old 'Matty's not good enough' is the topic of choice.

When someone actually gives the lad a bit of a leg up, he'd be wise to grab it with both hands and shout it to the world.

Nobody is talking about toeing a party line at all. Do you even read what I put??

I'm saying with so many positives going on, why do we have to concentrate on negatives?? I've gone into it in depth I really have. I've listed all the things that are good that are going on. I've made a comparison with the situation a year ago, everything.

If you want to disembowel the lad publicly, get on with it. Me, I'm thinking more about Barkers 9 in 18 last season and his two in three and thinking that's good. He's upped his ante, nice if that continues, I'm thinking we've got no penalty jitters like last year. I'm thinking we had nul points and no goals after three last season, this season we've got three and five after two. I'm thinking Macclesfield the first away game last season attracted 1800 people Luton had 8000. Nice to be in better company. I'm thinking there was a 1000 more in the ground on Saturday than the first game of last season. I'm seeing two players in the League Team of the Week and thinking yet more evidence that we've got credibility like never before, because no-one else in the division managed that.

It just strikes me that some people would grumble about a chip in the glass if they were given a glass of water after a thirsty week in the Sahara.

Is all.

Not exactly but it makes it look like a mirage in the desert heat.

Who are you going to put in if Matty is dropped then, with Monkhouse suspended?? The only other left footer, as I've already said, is Humphreys. He had a nightmare at Luton and was subbed early and he's been benched ever since.

From what I read, Humphreys wasnt great, but nowhere did it say he had a nightmare.

Trust me, he was a liability. A nightmare performance on a hammer house scale.

No, but Humphreys was subbed early doors and didn't make team of the week did he?? Or feature in the Cup game. Or on Saturday, even with the left back sent off. The changes made for the Cup game included the goalkeeper but it was said up front that people were tired from the Luton game and changes would be made. Obviously Budzt impressed and kept the shirt. Obviously Humps didn't in the meantime and wasn't selected. So who would you have in there then??

Right. An out of form left back who has played 56 mins out of three games and two players out of position.

He probably WILL play at Port Vale in the circumstances but it's one of those situations that wants managing innit??

Im Robsons biggest critic but id rather have him in the side than Humphreys.

Humphreys is a classic example of a poor footballer who is overrated as hell because he gives his all for the club. I believe we have moved past the days when effort alone is good enough for a place in our side.

Humphreys plays 56 minutes, has a bad game according to Mr I, and is therefore out of form.

Yet you critisise me for not giving Matty a chance?

Nowt like double standards is there? rolfl rolfl

No not only according to Mr I although I accept his eye witness comments in tandem with other reports that people put in. And the fact that his sub was straight one for one with no injury tells me that Danny Wilson thought so too. Since then Danny has also had his chance to re-instate Humps and hasn't. We all know Monkhouse is the popular choice, but he's not available. The reserves are there for exactly this reason and they're being used. We also know that reserves aren't the natural first team choice because others in front of then have greater ability. They are also probably aware of this too.

So when they're put in to do a job, the last thing they need is grief.

clappp clappp clappp It's not even right 50% of the time!

In fact he doesn't always believe what he says himself. He couldn't, surely?

I agree with this 50/50.
I think if you're 'into' something, whether it's football, music, film or whatever, you like to analyse it with a fellow enthusiast.
That means talking about both what's good and not so good, surely?
Whay annoys me is how often something like 'Matty had a bad game to-day' turns into something like 'Matty is a ***** player who couldn't (insert favourite analogy) and should be in Sunday league team' . That's just wrong, especially on a message board that can be read by the person being condemned
