It's an awful draw if you ask me, given what we could we have had.

There's no chance of a full away end, we won't even get 700 there.

I just hope we do as well as last time.
It was after that game, close on the heels of our fantastic comeback at Posh, that got me believing (correctly!) that we weren't just there to make up the numbers that season.
And given our recent record against championship sides even an improved Sheffield Wednesday are nothing to shit ourselves over. The worst result we've had in the last six seasons against such opposition is defeat by a single goal.
W2 D1 L2.

No I'm not an optimist

Ok they're not a premiership side, merely a championship side who got there through a dodgy ref but there's interest for sure. Had we got a premier league yeam we would have been playing their reserves in front of a half empty stadium, with this draw there'll be a good crowd from both sides because of the recent history.

I'll definitely be going along with 1000+ poolies for sure.

It's a winnable tie that's for sure and then we can get one of the big boys in the 3rd round.

Completely agree. Absolutely winnable and there will be 1500+ Poolies there. Mr Tax Payer MAY have been a bit Tongue-In-Cheek there, he'll be laughing on the other side of his face when he gets beaten up at Millwall by their Top-Boy. rolfl rolfl rolfl

No tongue in cheek there, I thought it was a crap draw considering when Sheff Wed were drawn out the others were Newcastle, Boro, Villa, Man City and Charlton.

No way will we get 1500 there, not even close.

They played Wrexham in the second round last season, there were 8000 there so we're hardly going to make much money out of it either.

Millwalls top boy won't even get close to me when I'm dancing around on his manor

Eyup lads,

Hope you bring a few down for this one although I doubt there'll be many in our ends. The North Stand is closed (the one on your left from the Leppings) and bearing in mind our poor start I can't see a League Cup tie on a Tuesday night exciting too many people.

Having said that it's cheap tickets and of course there's a bit of recent history with you lot so it might bring a few more along. I will be travelling up from the Midlands for this one - hoping to see a few Poolies as all the ones I met on 29/05/05 were fantastic.

Hillsbrough is no longer a 'glamour tie' its just another lower league ground.
