if you try copperberg the pear one tastes like pear drops, summer fruit 1 is lush so it doesnt taste like regular cider, at £2.49 for a pint good value to me

Cider is actually made out of apples. If you make it out of pear then it is actually called Perry - not cider.

it's ok to have ice in spirits, as it shouldn't last long enough for the ice to melt!!!! It makes the drink nice and cold - I must admit I don't get the clamour for this cider over ice thing, but if folks want it (or are told they want it by the marketing people at any rate) - then who am I to argue?
I must admit that Jacques is quite good, although cider is extremely acidic and kills me after two pints. It also contains traces of sulphur dioxide from the fermentation process  :-o

I like John Smiths or Guinness, or even both!!!!
When I'm bloated, it's gin and bitter lemon - very nice!!!!

La Bolée des Korrigans Brittany cider.

Shits all over your industrial made-in-Ireland-from-Chinese-apples "English" cider.

With or without ice

Also available on draught

Cider was the marketing success story of 2006, suddenly every fecker was drinking the stuff. One time last year went into the pub and felt like I had entered an episode of Life on Mars or some other parellel universe because loads of people were drinking pints of cider with loads of ice sctatchinghead
