Who needs 'B' when we've got Foley!

rolf rolf rolf

Starting to regret my prediction that Boyd was finished.

Foley can be an absolute star for us, hopefully tonight can be a real spring board for the little fella.

It sounded like Joel did very well when he came on chip.

Foley, the next James Brown? rolfl

If those two come of age proper this season, we won't have to worry!

If Foley doesn't get a chance to start a few games then there is seriosly something wrong. i remember him playing well against (Chesterfield) I think in our relegation season and then he disappeared. We won 1-0 and Foley was quality since that night I've never subscribed to the he's too small bollocks, his height is an advantage....! The lad leads the line in a different way. Give him a chance....

on Boyd - anyone with an ounce of sense knows that he was a qualiy signing for free.......

I think that you are doing Foley an injustice suggesting that he couldn't be effective from the start. He hasn't really had a chance has he? If coming on as a sub and scoring twice doesn't merit a couple of starts then I really don't know what will. It's surely about taking your chances when you get them.

is it just me, or does anybody else think that Foley will only ever score one or two goals per season??
In fact, in about two dozen first team appearances, am I right in saying he hasn't scored a League goal??

I hope the lad proves me wrong, but I've watched enough football to have a gut feeling about these things.

6 league starts 33 substitute appearences and and he hasn't scored yet, i agree with you, he's never going to be the the striker we want him to be.

26 of them 33 sub appearances have seen him play less than 25 mins. 15 of them 26 under 25 min appearances have seen him play less than 10 mins. 6 of them 15 min appearances have seen him play less than 5 mins.

During them 33 sub appearances he's barely been on the pitch. He's not a miracle worker. Plus he has scored, he scored against Rotherham.

Edit: Plus a lot of those appearances have been on the right wing.

I've always believed in Foley, he is the quickest player in the football league. I'm always dissappointed when he's not on the at least on the bench as it's a wasted oppertunity. When things are fooked we need an impact player...Foley. Simple as.

He will become a massive (obviously not in height) within time. When he has started he's always been ok. When he played against Darlow when we were at home, he was one of our best players.

Getting back to the subject it's a good job Leyton did have Boydy playing and a shame we didn't.
For a start if we'd had Adam on Saturday we wouldn't have had to rely on Barker to take the penalty.
