pockets me but on occassion i do opt for the hartlepool briefcase (tesco's carrier bag) or a good rucksack.

Pockets,if they get overful then just buy trousers with more pockets in,or wear a multipocketed coat.
Manbag is a contradiction in terms unless youre on about a scrotum.

Pockets do for general occasions. However i also seem to spend all day making sure my key is still there.
I will say that bags are essential for uni, you don't really want to carry lecture notes and other uni shite in an asda carrier bag.
