Why Chris Perry wasn't at least booked for the penalty incident?

Sweeney was clean through and about to shoot, in the laws of football shouldn't that be a straight red? No matter how late in the game thats a red card.

Mind we only got free kicks all day when;


A) Willie Boland had been fouled AT LEAST twice in the same passage of play by the same bloke, one of the times when he was only cynically chopped once they scored 3 seconds later

B) James Brown is clean through on goal.

Because the ref was abysmal all game?

Because the foul was committed by a Luton player?

Because the ref won his place in a Coca-Cola competition?

It was one in a long list of surprising and downright terrible decisions. Since when has hacking a player down from behind been find and dandy?

There was a point midway through second half when liddle bolland and brown combined and one was through on goal, there was a foul in the build up and the ref pulled it up for the earlier foul instead of playing the advantage. I was fooooking fuming

I agree. That ref was truly awful. He made more bad decisions than good ones for both sides. We were unfortunate that our bad ones were more serious.

Even the Luton fans booed him off.

Perry should have gone, no two ways about it. We had two more attacks after the penalty, if they were a man down and we threw another man forward then there was every chance we could have nicked it. We probably wouldn't have but its not the point.

Perry was an excellent player though, another reason why we should give Barker and Moore a bit of slack for their average performances.
