Those words come from Jack Warner the Fifa Vice president who is responding to the notion that England want to host the 2018 World Cup.

Can you imagine if an Englishman in such a position suddenly said "No one likes the Germans" or something to that effect. There would be an uproar.

I've just finished reading a book about FIFA and alleged bribes and corruption. The gadgie who worte the book revealed some quite unpleasant things about Jack Warner, so I would take whatever Mr Warner said with a pinch of salt.

I'm sure there was a survey done not long ago among Europeans, and the most disliked nation by far was the French, followed by the Germans. British were mid-table, I think a scandanavian country were most liked. It just shows, we have a bit of a downer on ourselves and expect everyone to hate us but they don't.

if only Americans realised that not everyone loves them like they think...

I am pretty sure Jack Warners travel agency firm were selling World Cup tickets for inflated prices last year. The man shouldn't have such a high position in FIFA.
