When you live where I do the competition isn't really fierce.
It's vodka and fresh orange juice or nothing.

I'm lucky enough to live near a big pub which always has at least a dozen real ales on, including at least one stout/porter/dark mild which are my favourites. PLUS they have over 100 whiskies to choose from.

So my answer is, a pint of stout, porter of dark mild with a single malt chaser.

Always get a nice pint in that Jerusalem place - me I always look for a proper pint of draft Tetley's.

I don't think you can go wrong with a vodka and fresh orange, especially if the orange is freshly squeezed.....

It would depend on what mood I was in and which pub I was in really. But lager or beer go down nicely.

Depends where I am.

If in town then it's a bottle of lager, either Bud or Stella.

In a proper pub, like the Woodcutter or the Causeway, then either a pint of 80 bob or a pint of Strongarm.

Liq.

No really, Liq (leesh) lager, it's immensely strong but isn't sour like Stella or horrible Tennents Extra or owt. It's the standard bottled beer here in 600ml bottles. Nice. About 45p.

You can get Tiger Beer, the one they sell in Chinese restaurants in England, it's from Singapore, on draft here and there as well. We went to a new 'English' pub last night, The Bogers Arms (don't ask me) and a pint of Tiger is about a quid.

BUT we've got this place called the Hans Beer Garden, brews it's own. You can get like a stout/porter type of stuff or a wheat beer, pretty cloudy but tasty. Happy hour noon 'til 8.30, 1.20 for a two pint jug!!   The toilets stink though

Is that Malaysian (or Singapore?) Tiger. That is quite drinkable. Better than French shite in any case.

Edit: oops, just read the beginning of your post :uhoh: :uhoh:
