Where do I start??

Just this year alone I've managed tortoise soup and anteater soup.

Last year I had deep fried crickets.

However for the last week I've had the green apple quickstep because of................fast food!!!

Some dodgy MacDonalds copy thing called McConkeys at Bei Hai. Manky fish. Never fails.

One of our rasses favourites is duck head. Yeah duck head, they just quarter it down the length of the beak and fry it. Chicken feet, that's another and fish heads. Brains, eyes, teeth, the lot. Apparently the nicest part of a fish is the cheeks.

The nicest part of any animal is supposedly the cheeks.

I've tried a few, when you travel you have to sample the local food and pigs intestines is probably the worst I can think of now. I didn't mind the fried insects too much, tatse like crisps when you've had a few.
I've seen fried chicken heads, neck upwards on a bbq skewer...didn't fancy that for whatever reason though.

snails - I wasn't impressed with them at all.

We had a fondu at home a few years back and we cooked conger eel in it. I thought it was really nice.

I think frozen shark from the Chinese supermarket was the most nauseous thing I ever had. And yes I defrosted it first. Maybe that was my mistake!

I've had shark fin soup in the far east. That was nice too.

Had crocodile steaks. They were nice, tasted just like pork I thought.

Have also had octopus. Just tasted chewy I thought.

At some stage no doubt. My first ever pet was a tortoise........

I had crocodile at Glastonbury & thought it was nice,enjoyed Ostrich too,they also sold worm crisps but I didnt try those.

I used to go to a South African restaurant that did a great Eland, Ostrich, Springbok and Zebra kebab!

Zebra steak was gorgeous!

Its got to be a couple of soups I tried in Vietnam.

First one 'Crab' which I though would be well nice. When it came it was a massive pot over a burner, with hot nearly boiling water and any old shite thrown in, fish heads fish eggs and cubes of 'meat' which looked fook all like crab. I tried to eat it out just to be polite, but at times I admit I was borking. It actually smelled of piss as well which didn't really improve the experience.

Second one 'Chicken' which literrally was again a pot of hot water with EVERY single part of the chicken lobbed in. You don't really want to be dipping your spoon in and pulling out a beak do you really? I mean what you do with a beak?

One thing I didn't eat, but spotted on a street vendors cart........ ladies and gentleman; SPARROWS on sticks The dirty bastads.

The most disgusting thing i have ever witnessed being eaten was balut. It's an egg with a full grown embryo inside of it. These pilipino scavangers who i used to work with used to chew on them like fook to get them down. Horrible, a full grown chick inside with a few feathers. Made me sick.

I ate a sliver of rat once on a course. Not pleasant, not pleasant at all.

Reckon I've had camel burger as well, by the crossing of the suez canal. Work em til they cant stand anymore then cook em up. Stringy, chewy, old and disgusting. I got some kind of dyssentry from that one.

South America takes some beating for rank food, I had guinea pig in Ecuador and orange flavour crisps in Chilli (country not spice). In Hong Kong I had some sort of monkey curry and the sight of young kids running round the streets sucking chicken feet takes some getting used to.
The laundry workers on the Hermes served up boiled pregnant rat and the smell of it cooking sent 000's to the gangway spewing , I was told they don't eat Mama rat just the baby ones.

Wish I never asked now.

Some of these things make my dodgy chutney almost edible.

On holiday in Budapest there was a market selling chicken feet,we just bawked but later found out it was dog food after being asked do we think they are peasants or what and eat anything.

Didn't think it was THAT bad when I had them in Laos...although I did eat around the embryo. I was getting laughed at for doing so by the locals like I was in some parallel universe were you're meant to eat unborn chickens.

Aye, they sell 'sparrow on a stick' here as well, particularly if there's some sort of 'do' on in the parks or summat.

My Dad has worked in the Philipines loads of times and he says they all go made for them.

Rabbit is the national dish of Malta, so I thought Rabbit and chips and salad would be lush.

It was one of those out of the way, local places and they just chopped up the whole skinned rabbit into about six pieces and cooked it. They stood over me and told me the brain was the best bit and didn't move until I tried some.

They soon got out of the way when I chucked up over the waiter.

Cobra heart. Ho Chi Minh 2003. Waiter brought a live cobra out, decapitated it then put it's (still beating ) heart in a shot glass with some white rum. I was told it would transform me in the 'O er missus' department but didn't have sex for a week. I still think of it at moments of mightus ejaculatus too quicklyus. Our lass was offered the gall bladder but 'politely' declined (although being a haggis muncher herself) she had little cause to complain

I've eaten frogs legs, they're not bad actually.

You can actually buy dogs cock soup here if you really want to. It's supposed to put lead in your pencil as well. It's a big macho thing amongst the blokes but at 200 quid a plate it's a bit steep. Apparently there's a place down in Shanghai that'll sell you anything's knob in a soup if you ask.

I was thinking about asking if they can get me Ainslie Harriott's but the bastad ((c)RTG) would be stood there behind the chef bleeding to death from the groin and rabbiting hysterically about Percy Pepper and Sally Salt and I'd have to brain the bounder.
