Just seen the ticket price for our trip to Luton is £21.50. Puts our modest increase to £18 into context methinks.

They must be trying to recoup the Adam Boyd fee from us.

It is, but we get the choice. No such choice for us at Kenilworth Road.

but away fans don't get the choice when they visit the Vic.

It's getting ridiclous now, when I saw the prices I honestly thought about not going and if it wasn't the first game of the season then I might not be there. I can afford to pay it but it's the principle, it's a fucking horrible ground in the middle of a place that resembles Beirut with a shitty view. The facilities are crap, you can't get a beer and their morons spend the whole game goading you.

I made a couple of visits to Kenilworth Road when they had the likes of Iain Dowie, Alec Chamberlain, Lars Eldrup, Roy Wegerle, John Dreyer and were competing in the top flight and I used to like the club. I despise the place now and its only partly to do with that monotoned, monobrowed, mono braincelled c**t who was in charge not so long back.

I hope people are planning on not spending money inside the ground.

Tossers.

I went on their website expecting to come back saying 'how come they only charge X amount in the home end'. I couldn't have been more wrong.

An adult wanting to pay on the day in the main stand pays £28. TWENTY EIGHT F**CKING QUID TO WATCH LUTON BASTARD TOWN. Most of the locals paid less than that for their houses

When was the last time pools made a mega BIG signing though?

I'm happy with what we have and willing to give the new boys a chance, Before the season begins!

But that price for Luton is shocking!

Michael Nelson was quite a big one...... I don't mean mega big - it just excites you a little bit more when some cash is splashed.....

So you are making a stand by not going to an AWAY match, that'll learn em!

Just how a big a signing do they have to make then Jonny?

It's hardly making a stand - I'm just not going to Luton because it's too far for the price and a rip off in my opinion, I've been before and we got stuffed.

I will be in attendance at the following away matches.

Leeds
Notts Forest
Huddersfield
Millwall
Carlisle
Doncaster
Tranmere
Walsall

Thankfully they are all spaced out reasonably welll, not ideal but as well as you could expect. It's gonna be a pricey season....

On signings - I don't know, I'll let you know when I think we;ve made a mega signing.....

The beer in their club was quite cheap and OK last time I was there (2 quid to get in like) and the locals are quite friendly until you get into the ground itself and meet the dickheads.

So the beer wasn't that cheap really then. If you paid two quid to get in and had 4 pints, thats an extra 50p a pint. Fooking rip off.

I seem to remember Forest was £20, when we visited two seasons ago.
So I can't see that being much cheaper than Luton, plus you've got the pleasure of
all the local morons, in the stand above you.

Luton isn't even going to be the most expensive, a quick look around shows that Forest is £26 (24 if bought in advance), Oldham was £23 (I think) last time Pools were there so that's probably gone up now, Milwall is £20 even Cheltenham is fucking £18.

It's going to be an expensive season and probably little different to supporting a top flight team. banghead banghead banghead

I think we've proved this point to the moaners several times after Pools' price hikes. The club has had seven relatively successful seasons out of the last eight and charged less than average prices for the division.
But of course that is all irrelevant since we haven't rushed out and bought any £200K players with the season ticket money.

Well if you chuck in the diesel as well it worked out at more like 7.50 a pint!!

And that's almost Swedish prices.

Just before we found the club though we were in some pub down the back of the ground at the end of a narrow dark alley and it gradually filled up with angry looking people staring at us so it was worth two quid to go somewhere were we felt a bit more welcome.
