Saw this on the Smoggy board and was surprised at some responses.

So, go on, any films that you didn't understand?

I'll start with Fight Club, never got my head around that.

And also a film called 'London' with Jason Statham, could only manage 30 minutes but it confused the hell out of me!!!

American Pyscho, I can't remember what the ending was but it was weird - I need to give it another watch as I haven't seen it for 7 or 8 years......

Donnie Darko took me a while.

Pulp Fiction was ok, just I guess the film was shot then chopped about into different parts so it did not flow naturally but it added impact.

Oh another one, The Machinist!!!!!

That film that runs backwards, is it Memento, good filum though but it is advisable to watch when sober and alert.

Another is a filum with Al Pacino and Keanu Reeves, Devils something or other. I watched that during a night shift and a lot of that didn't sink in

Devil's Advocate. Perfectly straightforward legal drama, that decides to turn bonkers!

Good film until it got daft at the end. Have to say I do like Pacino's acting - especially in Heat.

I after to agree Pacino is great, he plays a good part in Oceans 13, I think he is best in Scarface though

Tis a good filum that, I think Robin Williams is really good as well especially as he usually plays some goody two shoes type, he is good in One Hour Photo as well, maybe it is because it is different from his norm

Lost In Translation.

I was just lost.

Natural Born Killers. Completely incomprehensible.

That one about the arse bandits and the accountant in prison. Everyone raved about it but I thought it was shite, I even tried to watch it twice and gave up.

How didn't 4,000 Zulu warriors, who had just a couple of days earlier completely wiped out the massed ranks of the British Army at Isandhlwana, overrun a hundred or so sappers and malingerers at Rorkes Drift?

It's largely based on French philosophy and sociology. Knowledge of this helps!

I wish I'd know that before I went to see, enjoy, and understand it!

I don't need to understand a film that has Nicole Kidman naked in it!
