from what i think and the squad numbers i think barron will do extremely well to get in the side why not make humphreys club captain now and be done with it, or does anyone think we should have a change of captian

The role of 'club captain' is probably an off the field thing as much as it on though and I see no reason why Micky Barron should be stripped of that role. He can still lead by example and be a good role model even if he isn't playing every game.

I don't see a problem with having a different on-field captain to the club captain. All they do is toss anyway (so to speak.)

i can see why barron is the club captain long servant and does lead by example and is now a good connection between managment and staff having the coaching role, i like captains who have a bit to say and get the team going when things looking bad, i dont think humphreys ever did this i would have liked westwood to have been made captain when he was here is barron wasnt playing i cannot now think who would fit that role in the current starting 11

If I had to choose a different captain other than Barron I would prefer to see Nelson get it rather than Humphreys.

Kev Henderson was always our club captain but never captained us on the field, so IMO Barron should be club captain and Nelson should take the armband on a match day. Good combination as they seem to get on well (going by the 'team-mates' features on Pools world. lol).

i agree with you there Tigga as barker and boland both realitivly new into the fold and although showing the pashion, grit and determination to possibly be a future captain i think nelson would be a better shout or possibly Clark

If you're basing it on appearances then it has to be Micky Nelson. He's one of the few certainties. The likes of Barron & Humphreys will be bit part players this season.

Seeing as Barron couldn't get on the pitch last night, and looking at his failure to get a 1st team squad number, could the club have been playing down the coaching role they have planned for him?

i thought MB struggled a bit at times last season and was surprised he was offered a playing contract. its an excellent idea giving the lad a coaching role especially after his loyalty too the club, but i dont think he will play as many games this season. hope im proved wrong like
