I've got a business idea....

..that I reckon would make me a multi billionaire by the weekend.

But I haven't got much of a clue about business or where to start.

So, I thought I'd ask you lot.

So......where do I start? It doesn't need much investment but I am serious that it could work and others I have shared it with have agreed. I just don't know where to start. Are there companies that offer support for setting up your own business that I could approach?

Go and speak to Business Link - they're based in Sunderland. Not sure of a number or an address but a friend has used them with a new business and ideas around it and they've been massively helpful and know all about grants etc.
That's presuming your business idea is legal of course :wink:

Be sure not to ask for a business loan from Lloyds bank. My sister did : they agreed it and then pulled out at the last possible moment

Not for fun they didn't. Their business is making money from loans. If they pullled out they must have given a reason?

Well, yes but they had all the details right from the very beginning, and jiggered things up considerably by changing their initial decision

im sure theres a business link in hartlepool, they had some workshops before at the brougham units (i think that what they called)
