When we made the monkeyhangerz CD it worked because people knew their job and what was expected of them. I think we should start to outline jobs and responsibilities.

I'll put myself forward as agent.

Next we need someone for media & publicity, fundraising, volunteer co-ordinator. researcher.

Surely it would be better to define the roles fully before having everybody giving it a bit of 'I want to do that' ?

That is sort of a good point. How many volunteers so far actually live in H'pool?
Perhaps one of the first things is to get out and ask local people exactly what their grievances are, but if we don't live in town that might be difficult, without some sort of HQ

Why?

In my humble opinion, for what it's worth like, if you encourage a free for all early doors with unflexible people assuming roles which will then overlap with others before you have decided what exactly is required then you are storing up problems for later.

Just my opinion like, based upon a deep held belief that it is stupid to make the same mistakes twice.

Seriously, yes you're right but we do have people who have specific skill such as Mr Atweasle's knowledge of the insiduous world of the media.

I suppose you mean Mr Atweasle's insidious knowledge of the world of the media.

(By the way.......is his HQ offer safe at all?)

I suppose it would help knowing what the roles entail. For example, I could do some research from here in Leeds, but research what exactly? Media bod sounds good but I wouldn't have the first idea about it.

I'd chuck in some research as well, I don't need to be in Hartlepool to do a lot of it and basically we're trying to shoot the shit out of the sitting MP right??

I'm not saying that I'm a more worthy candidate OSP but I'd sure as hell like to stand as a candidate for MP.
