Did the usual tourist thingy's on a visit to Auschwitz, very thought provoking and the salt mines are well worth a visit.

While the lasses went off shopping me and my mate Geoff went off on a Communist tour of the steel town Nova Huta organised by a group that call themselves the crazy boys. One of the Highlights of the tour is being taken round in a trabant and enjoyed a good old commy welcome of Vodka and vodka and more vodka to help wash down the cabbage and rice dish they served us up in a famous milk house(works canteen).

This tour was brill and anyone going over to Kracow must give it a try if wanting to do something different, you will remember the trabant tour for sure.

I am thinking of starting up a tour of Hartlepool in time for all those tall ship visitors, this will include the Brus Tunnell and the derelict Steetly site then onto the Headland to show them all the scrap ships being loaded up and to see the Andy Capp statue and the beach where we hung the Monkey. Then onto Seaton to watch the seacoal being collected and if the ghost ships are still there they will be included on the tour. I will of course include the Vic and show off our trophy cabinet.
Church Street will be included especially on a Saturday night at chuck out time and we will do the tour on a Horse and cart, they will be given plenty of Snakebite and a meal of Kebab meat an cheesy chips. If you can think of anything I should include on this Heritage trip then let me know as I welcome your suggestions.

Look what the wonders of a holiday does for you,it fills you full of insparation. thrilled

Anyway,we enjoyed Kracow and even brought a few poles back with us.

I was there for a week in March and you're right its a good city. Auschwitz really is somewhere everyone should see once. Not sure i'd want to see it again as its obviously pretty grim in places and quite upsetting to be honest.

The Salt Mine was a real surprise, I was thinking 'what the fook I am getting out of bed still pished on Tyskie at this hour to visit a fooking salt mine for?!' but it was really worthwhile, an amazing place!

Nightlife not quite as good as Prague IMO but still a place well worth going to. Mind you the food wasn't the best I mean lard with bread as an appetizer? The dirty bastads...

We were served the lard bread thing,we went to the equivlent of 42nd st and those poles know how to party.

I thought some of the totty was the best in world, till some of them raised their arms.

Some of the street entertainers were very entertaining.

Is Roosters still there?

That was the best place to eat.

Nothing like scantily clad ladies serving fried chicken...

Ahh Roosters   :sweeeet:

It certainly is, easily the fittest collection of staff I have ever come across (so to speak  )

Also some of the thickest, one of the lads we where with (feeling a bit rough) asked for a beer and a coke to have first. Five minutes later the Polish stunner in hot pants brought him over a sort of 'lager shandy' made with Tyskie beer and Pepsi rolfl As I said they do eat lard, so maybe they thought it wasn't that strange a request sctatchinghead
