some classics there indeed. A big shame they played up to the mainstream music industry in the late 80's/early 90's, because for me Genesis were the best in the business of that style of music in the 70's. The thing that still surprises me after all these years is, my favourite album is still "And Then There Were Three." After Gabriel and Hackett departed, for the three remaining members to produce an album of that quality is still something to savour.

Yes I like that one too.
And also Three Sides Live, especially for the three live sides (doh!). Which is pretty logical I guess because it was probably the last album before Genesis became the Phil Collins Band.
Having said that I can't honestly profess to being a great Genesis fan, with or without Gabriel.

Sorry folks, but all genesis makes me think about is peter gabriel and all peter gabriel makes me think about is that video to sledgehammer, which to me is the most annoying video ever made.
erm..thats it

and they remind me of Mike + the Mechanics, which reminds me of when my fa**er was buying a PA so he could do his one man karaoke type thing - you know these shysters who get gigs in pubs and plug in their lil computer thing and sing over the top and paid loads and take up all the gigs for real bands, not nice people especially him...erm I'm digressing, where was I? oh yeah he went into the PA shop plugged in his shitty machine and mic and sang the living years at full volume in the shop....never in my life had I been so embarrassed - well up to that point anyways

so, yeah
Genesis, don't like em
