Our lass shouted for me to go to the Kitchen last night and pointed into the yard!!!! confised

There was a lovely little brown Mouse next to Skye's kennel and when I opened the door it ran under the kennel!!!! confised

Now I love animals and don't want the Mouses dead so how do I get rid of them without harming them???? sctatchinghead

I want to move the Kennel but it might have a nest under it with babies in it and I don't want to squash them!!!! confised sctatchinghead

The best way is probably one of them plug in thingys that are about a tenner from Wilko's. Sends out some sort of high pitched noise that encourages them to move house.

We had mice under the garden shed a few weeks ago so I got two different kinds of traps to shift them. One was the traditional one and the other one of those humane types.

The old fashioned one did a good job, piece of cheese, mouse looks to eat it, snap and the eyes pop out. Job done. Cushty.

The humane one was a bit trickier though.

The mouse went in to get the cheese and got stuck sure enough. But then what? Do I just let it back out? Do I drive miles away before letting it out so it's not in my garden? Couldn't be arsed with that crap like.

Instead I filled a bucket of water and put the mouse in that. Fair play to the little swimmer cos he went round in circles for 50 minutes before giving up the ghost.

Next plan is to catch two at the same time and see which one can swim for the longest.

Does anybody reckon that a mouse can swim for an hour or is that too optimistic?

This might make you laugh but it's true.
The only time I had mice I made butties for them with cream crackers topped off with an overdose of crushed outdated medicaments from the medical cabinet.
After two days there was no more sign of them. :sweeeet:
