I thought these were shots taken of tigers in the wild but is it true that they're all captive cats over here?

can you imagine frank on safari - marking a white line in the jungle/bush/safari place to sit behind with all his kit and take his photos!

i dunno even the wildlife are coming over here for the benefit system -{ a la brunos left hand or whatever his name was)

I'll be having a look see one morning next week.

Thanks Poolymad and Mrs Poolymad .... I am pleased to hear that you enjoyed the evening, thank you both for your very kind words on my work.

Call in again with the kids and enjoy it for a second time then why not a third.

Kind Regards

Frank.

I realise it has its place, but its not art and shouldn't be exhibited as such

I think some is, but most of the art stuff is in the past, notably b.& w.
What about e.g the prints in Graeme Miles' book of folk songs?

(this isn't a comment on Frank's work, which I haven't seen)

Grabey babey?????
I suppose it must be my new nick-name :sweeeet:

Speaking of amateur photography, I've had a week-end full of it. Kieran Halpin at the Studio on Friday, and then the Young'uns from the Pot House, who were at Croxdale yesterday. You have to admit it's OK really

that sounds good that them 2 gigs

I did a post about this last night, but it seems to have got lost in the bag of old wallpaper...

like I said, it has its place ie. mags/papers and picture frame shops

exhibiting as art irks me, cos my opinion is that it isn't art confised

anyways, I know its necessary and fun and everyone has a camera and snaps are the best thing
kids school photo's are great etc

just keep em away from art galleries!!

I think I know what you mean Salty, however some photos are very evocative and interesting, but lumps of concrete like failed slump tests etc or any of the Baltic shite rage
