Well done Dugoutpaddy a fantastic effort!

My lad has just returned from his Air Cadet jaunt up Roseberry Topping and he and his pals are all walking like a cross between Charlie Chaplin and a penguin. He said they got a right good soaking yesterday like!

Once again well done and enjoy that bathtime brandy!!

Excellent work Paddy. You should be proud of yourself. How long did it take you then? And how many stops? I like the idea but I'm sure it would half kill me

It took about 12 hrs, but that is because some of the lads who were also doing the walk were animals who do challenges like this for sport stpid

Hence the reason my body aches so much, as most of my training was in the greenies! I did pick up some very useful tips tho if you are thinking about having a go at something like that and that is get practising, get the proper gear and invest in a couple of trekking poles absolutely vital for the last 8 miles (in my case) as I don't think I could have done it with out them.

Can't wait til me boots dry out now!
