As previously stated in my "Duffy deffo off to Swansea" thread, I said that Duffy was expected to sign within a few days.

Hull's chairman had said that a deal was almost complete. Swansea's chairman said he is trying to use the media to get other teams to bid and is lying. Swansea say the deal is dead unless Hull agree to their valuation.

http://www.football.co.uk/swansea_city/ ... 8305.shtml

Anyhow...if Duffy doesn't want to play for us, he doesn't want to play for us. He should NOT join us if he doesn't want to play for us, because if doesn't want to play for us then he doesn't. A bit like when Beech, Butler and Ross didn't want to play for us, they all fooked off the first chance they got. Or did a runner and refused to play for us.

We want players who are committed.

However...if Duffy says "I want to play for Hartlepool" then he can join us.

Maybe he should remember he is still unproven in the English league - Hull supporters have been distinctly unimpressed with him - and stop being so big headed.

I'll tell you what, if he doesn't want to play for us it's unlikely he'll want to play for us.

but will he want to play about with us, seeing as he might not really want to play for us? And if he plays for us, he might not really want to. And if he plays against us, he might play about with us anyway, even if he doesn't really want to.

How do we know whether he wants to play for us? Has he said that he doesnt want to play forus or has he said that he does want to play for us? He may have told the Hull chairman that he doesnt want to play for us but then maybe he hasnt said that he doesnt want to play for us, he could have actually said that he DOES want to play for us. He could also have told Swansea that he doesnt want to play for us and would rather play for them so that he will be more popular with their fans. They will obviously be happier with a player who says that he doesnt want to play for us but would rather play for them.

Do we know whether he has actually told Pools whether he doesnt weant to play for us? Will we ever truly find out if he wants to play for us? Duffy may have indictated that he doesnt want to play for us so that we offer improved terms to get him. Obviously offering better wages will make it more likely that he wants to play for us.

I think we should cease all this talk about whether he wants to play for us as we dont not know the truth. He may want to play for us but it is also possible that he doesnt want to play for us!!!

At the end of the day only Duffy knows whether he wants to play for us or doesnt want to play for us.

Dont get me wrong, I hope he does want to play for us, like...

It seems that he wants to play for Swansea ergo he doesn't want to play for us.

WTF does ergo mean, like?

EDIT: I just looked it up on Wikipedia, it states "Ergo is a fictional planet within the Star Wars galaxy. "

Mmm??

From the Urban Dictionary:

"One of the words you will always remember from ninth grade english; it means "therefore" and ALWAYS has to be put in italics. Pronounced "air-go"

Cogito ergo sum.

I think, therefore I am."

"one of the architect's limited vocabulary of complicated words, others being concordantly and vise vee"

"Ergo is a word used only by people who think they are smart, but really don't understand how to write or speak."

I'm confused.
Does ergo mean he wants to play for Swansea or for Hull?
