Thats some losses for 1 year when you consider that the team they had was schite & they didn't have to pay JJ's wages as this was done by a sponser.

It makes you wonder how the hell they could of hoped to pay Luton 170k and huge wages Adam Boyd, they better hope the crowds they get next season are above 3,500 as they will only go deeper in debt and have no star players to sell.

Hope they have kept their buckets clean.

The carvery can't be doing too well then. Actually in all seriousness it sounds like DFC ae struggling big style. Darlo have a lot of decent fans who don't deserve to kicked kicked and kicked again. I get the feeling it's going to be wake up time for a lot of loids very soon though......

When I opened the thread, I was expecting 600k losses but 2 Million is a bit mad.

Mind you the board only have themselves to blame. Thier Darlow village scheme, hockey team idea, offices, Penny's "we need to offer big wages to get them to come to Darlington" motto...is just a recipe for disaster.

Scarboroughs debts weren't much more than that and look what has happened to them. If ever there was an example of how not to run a lower league football club then Darlo are it. The investment in a ground that is way too big for them is a weight around their neck. As they get weaker that weight is getting heavier and heavier...
