Loads to be positive about...almost blown away after Southend start but dug in and came back into it--hard to comment about the starting changes too much given the turnaround but credit Grayson for using what he had

Cartwright 8 -best game yet and some excellent saves
Topiljai 6 didnt do anything wrong, good to give him a rest (hope that was all it was)

Mcnally 6 - Much better in 2nd half in proper position--at fault for goal but dealt a rough hand by Grayson
Keogan 8 Best of some very good defenders
Parkes 6--Looking his age a little
John 8 another really solid perfomance across a couple of positions

Miley 8 MoM especially in first half--battled well, was mobile--very good
Sheron 7 another good battler, some issues with distribution
Hunter 5 not great took off at half time

Francis 7 excellent first half a bit quieter on the wing
Reid 7 Got fuck all of the ref but scored again, though not sure what he knew about it.

Subs
Charman 8 -- Best he has played one his battles, did great for the free kick that led to the goal and put a great cross in for Reid - more of that and we have a decent player
Daly 7 getting more up to speed that is encouraging

All in all thats the most positive I've been about a display all season--up against a very good side, and on another day could have lost, but we didnt fold, we had a plan and got a great point

Now get some rest and follow it up with 2 home wins !

Cartwright MoM for me but some great performances in a very difficult away game and no proper rest after Saturday. Maybe the changes showed them too much respect, but when we made the positive changes we could have nicked it.
Think our manager will have learned a lot about the squad today.
2 home wins now will do nicely please lads.

with a performance like we saw i doubt he,d be the only one who just slumped in their dressing room seat. thats how it should be and not having the energy running round the pitch after the game is over.

I watched the highlights last night and it didn't seem as one sided as southend fans are claiming. We could easily have won it.
I thought the goal was alex reids as well.
