..........were 2 down on Saturday and then Cleary came on as a sub and finished up winning 3 -2. One of my neighbours is a Barnsley fan. I asked him this morning what he thought and he said he was very good, like shit off a stick.
He was well pleased.

Notice Nathan Asiimwe also scored for Wimbledon in League 1 on Saturday. He was just starting to come good when his loan expired, wonder if we'd been able to keep him until Jan how we would've got on.
Although I think we only got him because Sarll was mates with someone at Charlton, so maybe after sacking him there was no chance...

Just checked the BBC website and Mancini didn't even make the squad for Rochdale.

I think we made the correct decision.

I think we all know that Rochdale have got a player there that might be awesome for four games but otherwise will be endlessly "recovering" (probably in France, having his bills paid by Rochdale).

We were only a Cleary loan signing and a couple of Mancini cameos away from a genuine relegation battle last season

Thank feck last season is in the past then eh? We were only 3 or 4 wins short of the play offs too, getting shot of Sarll or LL stepping back a few weeks earlier might have done the trick.
Arguably this league is getting tougher as more and more ex EFL teams (bigger? clubs) are in their together with the newer ones with money and a desire to reach the promised land of the EFL.

you and loyal are both correct. thats how flustrating it is finishing mid table. its a case of what could have happened both ways. turned many draws into wins would have seen the play offs but losing the draws and cleary not arriving it could have gone the other way.

personally i,m glad to see the back of the lad. apart from his first injury i still have to be convinced he was really keen to play last season. only when he wanted to do on his terms.

If me Aunty had balls she would be me uncle.
The fact is it was a season of 46 games and we were clear of both ends.
As the grand Old Duke would have it....

Bottom line is that it's a fecking hell of a hard league to gain promotion from, look at York last season for instance big spending, high points scoring, but couldn't get over the line.

It's a lot easier to stay in division 4 for sure for a team run semi decently.

Basic strategy that like.

He was like a 60’s French car…..you never knew if he would start next morning.
As for the breath fresh air, Airwick would have been a better option

thats why french cars have comfortable seats for the times you sit in them waiting for the breakdown truck. if mancini writes a book about his career in football you,ll find it in the medical section of a library.

Mancini was on the bench for Rochdale’s NL Cup game against Burnley U21s earlier today. (1pm Kickoff on a Wednesday!!).

He came on in the 61st minute and wasn’t carried off injured.

Some of these comments make me realize how easily some pools fans are fooled ‘glad to see the back of him’ ‘only turned up when he felt like it’

He clearly has injury challenges but was one of the few things worth
watching the last couple of years and was obviously popular in the dressing room
So hardly a shirker…

Whatever he does at Rochdale I would have thought most were at least sorry to see him go without realizing his potential…though some fans prefer donkeys like charman running with his head down and ‘putting it about’ by giving away needless freekicks I suppose

if we were a club where money did not matter you can gamble with a mancini type being available for a small amount of the season. until that day happens fans will have to get used to the donkeys trying their best who are available to play more games. how many games did cleary miss due to injury who did more for the team in his short spell than mancini ever did. if mancini was some non league world beater every club would have been after him to the point he was the leagues highest paid player. guess there are many managers who would not touch him with a pit pole.
