All credit to the Shields players for carving open our 'defence' but from a Pools point of view that was the worst example of spineless, gutless defending that you would not wish to see repeated.

Christ that’s bad defending, who is doing the talking out of 2 center backs both so square….almost playing like they used to having a 3rd man in their playing a bit deeper…

But some fans think we lost on purpose to fool the Yeovil scouts.

We get a few Stella signings during the week even a mint goalkeeper.

Keep the Faith n never lose hope.

In about 10 years time when Shells finally takes over.

Presumably what they'll have on Saturday when they up in a 3-5-2. McNally is supposed to be quick. Hopefully it'll be him behind Kouogun and Parkes.

Not sure how being caught out of position is 'gutless' or 'spineless' though sctatchinghead Gonna be a long, long season

Got to feel bad for the trialist goalie who gets served up that shite in front of him, almost pulling off a really good save on the second if it wasn't for a rebound, and seemingly hasn't been offered a contract after it

Who the fuck was RB for the first goal, He was more out of position than Smith was for the Boro goal.

Gutless and spineless for not only being out of position, no effort to recover, ball watching instead of artempting to support the keeper for the second goal and generally being second to the ball - and second best throughout the game. If being outplayed by South Shields even in a friendly game isn't a cause for concern then it is indeed going to be a long hard season - which should hardly represent a cause for mirth.
